Allysha Cleeman

Allysha Cleeman is one of the brightest young emerging stars on the Australian music scene and resides in Perth, Western Australia.

Discovering an early passion for music, she began playing the violin and piano at the age of seven and at the age of thirteen, was awarded a scholarship at Penrhos College. Allysha has recently completed her Bachelor of Music at The West Australian Academy of Western Australia, and is taking vocal lessons with Patricia Price. Allysha has also completed the Certificate II Musical Theatre at WAAPA.

Allysha has delighted audiences with her engaging personality and charming voice. Allysha comfortably sings music from many different genres (popular and traditional), including Jazz, Operetta, Musical Theatre, Classical and Contempory music.

Previous performances include The WA Tourism Awards, The Queens Golden Jubilee at Government House, The Official Opening of the Perth Royal Show, and has appeared as a soloist Supporting Act for both Marcia Hines and Marina Prior at the St Valentine’s Day Concert at Kings Park in past years.

Varied roles include a voice over artist role for Tim Winton’s ‘The Deep’, lead role of Maria in ‘West Side Story’ at the Playhouse Theatre in 2009, and as a soloist performer for Channel Seven Telethon in 2001, 2002 & 2004.

Allysha was very excited to be playing the leading role of Lisa, for two performances of ‘The Land of Smiles’, at the Subiaco Arts Centre in June last year; a beautiful operetta written by Franz Lehar, and directed by the late John Milson.

At 19yrs of age Allysha was a finalist in the WA Storm The Stage competition, held at the Burswood Theatre, and more recently, was selected as the winner of the Musical Theatre Open category for the Fremantle Eisteddfod in 2010. This year Allysha will be continuing her Opera studies at WAAPA, where she will undertake the Graduate Diploma Course.

Allysha is passionate about performing and enjoys opportunities to perform as a soloist at Corporate Events, Concerts, Theatre Productions, Weddings, Funerals and Charity Events.
