Be entertained at your next event by tenor saxophonist, Patrick van der Moezel, and one of his jazz combos that he leads. Patrick and his fellow ensemble members have studied for the past two years at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in the Bachelor of Music (jazz) course. He has performed at many events in many different settings including the York Jazz and Soul Festival (2008), numerous events with the Ben Hall Trio, Simon Montgomery, Saint Thomas Big Band and other events through the Wedding Music Planner.

The saxophone and piano duo is an ideal and affordable choice to create a party  atmosphere whilst guests enjoy each other’s company over cocktails and canapes. This  ensemble would work great as the pre-entertainment at your wedding reception, private  party or business luncheon / function as your guests arrive.
Patrick has instrumental ensembles in the trio and quartet format. These ensembles, performing well known jazz standards, is an ideal option for people to have either as pre-entertainment as guests arrive, and as background ambience for guests. This makes these ensembles ideal for both cocktail and sit down dinner functions. The trio and quartet ensemble format also provides your guests with the opportunity to dance with their loved ones in a non confronting environment. Patrick’s trio and quartet can be modified in instrumentation to include a vocalist upon request.
A vocalist can be added to Patrick’s instrumental quartet to form a vocal quintet. This ensemble performs a variety of well known instrumental and vocal jazz standards repertoire. This quintet is the ideal option as the entertainment throughout dinner or durig a cocktail function as guests enjoy each other’s company. The ensemble also has the advantage of being able to get people up and dancing on your dance floor after the formalities of your event have finished.
