Ross Dwyer

Band Leader, Guitarist, Disc-Jockey

Ross Dwyer is a professional musician with years of experience entertaining people in a variety of bands and styles. Ross, having completed his studies in Jazz Performance at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), continued to develop as an entertainer through performing in many well known Perth bands including The Funk Club House Band who have continued to set a high standard in musical excellence in the soul and funk genre. In this period Ross also formed the band Project Rosco a band comprising of professional musicians that Ross met whilst studying at WAAPA, the focus of this band was to provide an entertainment option combining the use of a live jazz quartet and a disc-jockey, forming the complete entertainment option for a wedding reception, private or corporate function.

To continue in his musical studies, Ross applied for a job on a cruise ship as a musician. For over a year Ross performed sometimes up to three times in an evening with a diverse range of musicians in an assortment of styles to entertain guests on various cruise ships. His experiences included needing to perform as a solo guitarist through to jazz big bands and rock cover bands. This diverse assortment of musical styles helped Ross expand in his understanding of different musical styles and incorporate them into his own musical style.

On return to Perth, Ross has continued to work as a professional musician in various bands throughout the Perth area. His knowledge and experience as a performer makes him the ideal choice to perform either as a solo guitarist at your wedding ceremony or as a part of the band entertainment at your wedding reception with his group Project Rosco.
