St Thomas Big Band – Aquinas College April 10th 2011
The St Thomas Big Band performed as the head line act at Aquinas College on the 10th of April 2011. The band has a close affinity with this Catholic Boys school with all of its members being students who have graduated from the college. This professional 18 piece jazz big band performed many well known jazz standards in the styles of swing, funk, ballads and latin.
St Thomas Big Band – Perth Royal Show 8th October 2011
The St Thomas Big Band performed as a part of the entertainment for the Perth Royal Show on Saturday the 8th of October 2011. The band entertained an appreciative audience that gathered at the Carter Lawn Entertainment area performing a number of big band classics including “Splanky”, “Shiny Stockings and “O Lady Be Good” as well as funk tunes “Chameleon”, “Superstition” and “The Chicken”.
